Title-McAfee Script Error when merging Word documents into Collectorpro
Description of Problem
Collectorpro uses Visual Basic scripting to open Word and merge Word documents into an appraisal report. McAfee virus shield has a function called ScriptStopper that will prevent Collectorpro from opening Word and merging the Word documents into an appraisal report.
If a system is running Collectorpro and has McAfee VirusScan version 8 or 9 installed and the user attempts to merge a Word document into an appraisal as a cover or end page, Mcafee will present a message as shown below.

This may prevent Collectorpro from properly merging Word documents into an appraisal.
Solution
To allow Collectorpro to merge Word documents into an appraisal, the McAfee VirusScan ScriptStopper must be disabled. To disable ScriptStopper, follow the instructions below.
Right click on the Mcafee Security Center icon in the system tray and the shortcut menu will be displayed.

Left click on the VirusScan menu selection and the menu below will be displayed.
Left click on Options and the screen below will be displayed.

Click on the advanced button in the lower left and the screen below will be displayed.

Click on the ScriptStopper tab at the top of this screen and the screen below will be displayed.

Click the box lableled “Enable ScriptStopper (recommended) to remove the checkbox.
Click OK to close the Advanced Options
Click OK to close the Options
Restart Collectorpro and you should be able to print appraisal reports with Word documents merged.
